Aikona looks and feels like wood, but this versatile vinyl composite offers significant advantages over natural wood in durability, appearance, performance, practicality, application, maintenance and cost. Aikona top welded section is recommended for external applications on balconies, decking for terraces, hot tub and swimming pool surrounds. It is recommended for outside decking and very wet internal applications. Aikona top welded is designed to help create a water tight seal to prevent any ingress of water, especially water containing chemicals that might affect the adhesive used for installation. The welded joint also allows for expansion and contraction of the product on external applications. Aikona top welded is available as standard (5mm thick) or heavy duty (7mm thick), with a black or white coloured welding rod. The welding rod is also available from Aikona Ltd or Aikona distributors.
